Reviews and Ratings
“Dr. Valenzuela was my surgeon of choice. She truly cares about her patients, she came in and talked to me before my surgery and helped put my mind more at ease. Even though I was ready to get it done. She is a very nice and caring person. She replied very quickly back to me when I sent her post-surgery questions. Keep doing what you do best Dr. Valenzuela!!! Changing lives for the better.” – Savrielle
“The best decision I have ever made and I will never forget any of the Mexico Bariatric Center team. Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela is so amazing and so kind she stopped to talk to me in the hall even when running late she then came to visit later… The whole staff was nothing short of a perfectly well-oiled machine. Do not hesitate to choose Mexico Bariatric Center and Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela you won’t regret it” – Lyon
“I had Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy on November 21, 2017. My PCP back home referred me to see a GI specialist just to double-check my sleeve. I wasn’t having any complications at all, he was just curious because I traveled for surgery instead of lingering on a waitlist. Initially, he wasn’t overly supportive of my decision. The GI specialist reported that my sleeve was the best work he has ever seen. Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela is a skilled surgeon with an amazing bedside manner. She paid very close attention to me and answered all my questions. The entire team was skilled and empathetic. I would recommend her to anyone.” – Emmy

The day I reached “One”derland, as we call it in our community, I cried. That’s when you weight in the 100’s rather than the 200’s. My official goal is 150 pounds, so I have 25 pounds to go. I have so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to in the future. I recently went for a visit back home to Cape Breton, while there I did the Cabot Trail Skyline. That’s where you hike approximately 8 km. At 261 I wouldn’t have even considered it. This time around, it was my idea and I finished it with the biggest smile on the outside and on the inside.
January 19th, 2016 was a giant step towards bettering my mind, my body and my soul. It’s the day I took my life back into my own hands.
Thank you Dr Valenzuela, your amazing team and MBC.
Hi my name is shannon! Congrat on your journey.! Im wanting to get gastric sleeve done . Trying to find the best Dr in Mexico. What was the price may I ask?
Praise report: I was worried because I had gained weight directly after my surgery on 8/12 (fluid weight from all the saline) but as of today which is only 8 days after surgery I have lost 16lbs! God is sooooo Good… And so is Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela!!! If I had to go back and pay the extra $500 for her again I wouldn’t even think twice about it! She’s worth EVERY penny of that extra $500!! I just love her!! What a blessing this whole experience has been!
It’s my 1 year anniversary since being sleeved! HW 285, SW 270, CW 215. I wanted to make it a total loss of 100 but I have slowed down a lot and sometimes get down on myself. However, I am very happy with the 70 I have lost and know I will loose even more. Thank you Dr. Valenzuela and the MBC team.
Loved Dr. Lousiana Valenzueal and her whole team! She is so great at answering questions and explaining to you. I have had zero complications and would recommend her to anyone that asks!!!
Dr. V sleeved me 12/18/17 and my experience with her was awesome. Her whole team was Super friendly and diligent in all they did. Her physician came to the hotel to check in me the night I was released. Knowing she’s been sleeved and knows first hand what we are going through and will go through was a big plus.
I had surgery April 24, 2018. Everything was excellent, from the pick up at the airport to the drop off at the airport. Dr. Valenzuela is my hero. Thank you, MBC, for giving me my life back.
My surgeon and medical staff were amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate my needs while getting my gastric sleeve. Surgery was fantastic and I have no pain 3 days post op. Dr. V knows what she is doing and is a very gracious woman. I had some concerns with a certain staff member but it is being resolved by the upper management and CEO. The drivers were absolutely amazing too, especially Art! As a registered nurse I would recommend this facility to any of my family or friends!!!
Sleeved by Dr V in Jan 2018 – BEST DECISION ever!! I was in need of it and insurance in the US would charge over $20k, so this option was a no brainer. Of course I’d recommend for everyone to do their own research. Dr V is #1 in Tijuana, hands down, best bed side manners & cares about you and your safety. You have a one-on-one for any questions or concerns (compared to other Dr’s that patients don’t even get to talk to) Dr V and the whole staff at MBC (from coord Leili to Karla at Mi Doctor, to Dr Valenzuela and the nurses that cared for me) made the experience great!!!
I had my surgery yesterday 6/27/18 by Dr Louisiana Valenzuela and I am so satisfied that I had the surgery. The Doctor and her staff are wonderful Thank you Mexico Bariatric Center
This is a fantastic company filled with fantastic people!! This was the easiest surgery I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many!!) even though I was a million miles away from my home in Wellington, New Zealand. I can’t even explain how much I recommend the Mexico Bariatric Centre.
I had surgery at the Bariatric Center in May 2017 with Dr. Valenzuela and lost 67kgs/148 Pounds in 1 year and I couldn’t be happier!!
Will try and post my progress photos in a comment if I can. People no longer recognize me!
I had my surgery December 4th 2017 and I feel great! (Currently 7 days out). No pain except when I laugh. This has made me so happy and I look at life completely differently now, even after only a week. This is a huge lifestyle change and it’s MY lifestyle change! Mexico Bariatric Center took care of me, clean equipment, clean room, very attentive nurses and Dr.’s. Before surgery, I met all my nurses, and assisting Dr’s and Dr. Valenzuela. They were all awesome, and answered ALL my questions. I’ve had 3 emergency C sections and gall bladder surgery and I have never felt more comfortable or in less pain than I do now. I wish I could do it again, just for the care. Really I think the worst part is the drain tube removal. As long as you follow their directions, get up and walk ASAP, start following all directions they have, you’ll feel great. ***** I would recommend MBC to anyone who needs this procedure done to do it. Wish I did this 10 years ago! Good Luck to you!
When will I know the test’s results?
